Cool in Summer, Warmer in Winter

A good ceiling fan makes a real difference in an Illawarra summer — and run in reverse on low, it pushes warm air back down in winter too. We install all types: basic single-speed fans, remote-controlled models, fans with integrated light kits, and DC motor fans that run almost silently. Whether you're replacing an old fan or installing one somewhere that's never had one, we'll get it done safely and neatly.

A Ceiling Fan Job Done Properly

Getting Your Fan Up and Running

  1. Tell Us What You've Got

Let us know your ceiling height, whether there's an existing light fitting or a new location, and whether you've already chosen a fan. A quick description is all we need to quote.

  2. We Quote the Full Job

If we're supplying the fan, we'll ask about size, finish, light kit, and remote preference. Fixed price before we start — no surprises.

  3. Install, Balance, Test

We check the ceiling structure, fit the correct mounting bracket, wire the fan safely, balance the blades, and run it through all speeds before we leave. You won't be left with a wobbly or noisy fan.

Common Questions

Can you install a ceiling fan where there's already a light fitting?
Usually yes, but it depends on what's in the ceiling. Standard light fittings aren't rated to hold a spinning fan. We check the existing bracket and replace it if needed — this is included in the quote, so there are no surprises on the day.
What if my ceilings are high or raked?
High and raked ceilings need a downrod to bring the fan to the right operating height. We carry a range of downrod lengths and will advise the correct drop for your ceiling before the job.
Do I need separate switches for the fan and the light?
It depends on your wiring and preference. Some setups use a single switch with remote for the fan; others have separate wall switches. We'll go through the options so you get a result that works for how you use the room.

The Illawarra Summer Makes Ceiling Fans Worth It

Anyone who's spent a summer in the Illawarra knows the humidity can be relentless. A ceiling fan won't replace air conditioning, but it makes day-to-day comfort noticeably better — and costs next to nothing to run. We've installed fans across Wollongong, Dapto, Port Kembla, and Woonona, and we know which models hold up well in the coastal conditions.
