In most cases, yes — but it depends on your existing inverter. Some older string inverters aren't battery-compatible and would need to be replaced or supplemented with an AC-coupled battery. We'll check your setup and give you the options upfront.

Will a battery keep the power on during a blackout?

It depends on the system configuration. Standard grid-tied batteries shut off during a blackout for safety reasons. Most modern battery systems offer a backup power option that can keep selected circuits running — but this needs to be configured at install time. Let us know if backup power is a priority.
