How do I know if my home needs rewiring?

Common signs include frequently tripping breakers, flickering lights, discoloured power points, the smell of burning near outlets, or a home built before 1990 that's never had electrical work done. A proper assessment will give you a clear picture.

Does the whole house need to be rewired, or can you do part of it?

It depends on the condition of the existing wiring. In many cases a partial rewire — targeting specific circuits or areas — is enough. We'll tell you honestly what's needed rather than upselling the scope.

Is aluminium wiring dangerous?
